More Clarification

The site with my photo on it (two posts down) is the parent company of the site for which I'm blogging (constant new music).

Constant New Music is still in beta testing, so it is not currently available for viewing. The second it is, I'll throw it up here on the blog.

Constant New Music: Clarification

I am a writer for a site that is up and coming in the music world (see link below). Here's a preview of my first official piece for the project:

You sir, the person listening to music:

For the music snob, the elitist, the frustrated pandora audiophile, the waffles/oink/what.cd/ V.I.P. crowd, and the kids so cool they are listening to bands that haven't even been formed yet: Welcome to Constant New Music. If you're like the nerds running this site, you have your favorite sites for downloading music and sharing your style. We're here to add to your ego by giving you another outlet to brag about the time you ran into Thom Yorke and told him you discovered the new version of him; however, on this site, you can get that googly-eyed hopeful signed to a label and out of your guest room. Here's what we offer- some old, some new, all for you:
-compare style/number of overall listens with other snobs.
-enjoy climbing the ranking system. Judge those beneath you.
-create/share playlists
-download CNM apps
-upload local artists you discover
-earn voting potential by how much you listen/share
-vote for local musicians
-higher votes= bands you love GETTING SIGNED
-read reviews of new releases written by dazzlingly witty Constant New Music staff who have seen High Fidelity way too many times.
-Tell us how you think the site should be run. We might even listen.

If that doesn't sound like a useful tool to help feed the eternal flame of music-discovery hunger plus a legitimate way to spread your musical prowess across the interwebs, then you should probably read it again.

Hope you enjoyed that! More to come.

Hey, that's me!

So I've been collaborating with a group up in New York to start up a site all about music. Reviews, votes, ranking, getting bands signed, etc. etc. etc.

WELL LOOKIE HERE:

It's really happening and I'm stoked. Kinda sucks being so far away and having to do the bulk of my part via email, but oh well. Still worth it.
