I don't know if you knew this or not, but my family consists of 4 girls. We're all unmarried. We are all in our 20's. One of us recently got engaged.
THEREFORE, all sorts of hypothetical "at MY wedding" situations are being discussed and secretly planned. Flowers/rings/bridesmaid dresses/reception themes/to shove the cake in the face or not (I'm on the NOT side. Future husband: If you push cake into my face you will be my future ex-husband in a second. I'm fun-loving and silly but no one is smearing cake onto this free-spirited bride).
Honestly I've never really thought about it. At all. Except for the cake thing. I'm totally serious about that. Don't do it.
So, I figured I'd start with what that really kicks off all the madness: the ring.
After a little investigating, I've discovered a few things I really enjoy.
I love micropave, and I love sapphire/emerald stones. I'm firmly anti-thick bands. I'm borderline anti-diamonds.
Nikki's thick-banded-diamond-party ring is gorgeous, but the exact opposite of what I'd want.
Ideally- freakishly thin, dainty band with micro-diamonds, then a fat oval emerald/sapphire (and I mean FAT) with micropave all around it.
Think this, only simpler:

What do you guys think? I know my sisters probably have thoughts. Holler.
