Prescott has proven to me that:
Calling a woman a "bobcat with a toothache" is high praise.
If you really care about the environment you won't bathe so much.
Bolo neckties are FREAKING COOL.
Charlie Rich is the perfect background music. For everything. Weddings, elevator music, ring tones, etc.
No one cares about your incredible skills on the piano, unless it's saloon music. But if you play the banjo women will flock.

Nothin but music
I've decided. I'm not spending money on anything except for what I absolutely need, and music.
No clothes, no restaurants, nothing. I'm paying rent and buying groceries and saving up to see live music.
I'll save gas money to make to at LEAST one weekend of the twilight concert series in Salt Lake. Plus I need to go to Hard Halloween this year, no matter the line up. The fact that I had to sell my ticket last year still freaking burns my soul.

Job Searching
Job Hunting isn't so bad. I've never had a terrible time finding one, and I'd like to think it's because I'm a relatively charming creature; however, job searching in the blazing Arizona heat is an entirely different animal. Sure, it's easy to be charming when you are wandering around San Diego, loving life, petting a seagull, the ocean moisture doing incredible things for your hair.
But here? Walking into an interview sweaty and frizzy and fully subscribed to the epic Prescott hippie movement? Try pulling out a twinkling eye and dazzling remark on that day. I'll tip my proverbial hat if you pull it off.
P.S. If you are in a band....the site I'm working for can help you be heard by way more music lovers.

Biscuit
I found a place in Preskitt/Biscuit that is perfect. Now all I need is a job and a few rascally ideas and I'm set for a hotter-than-hell summer in Arizona.
Wish me luck!

OOoooh. AWWW.
OK but don't really. Because I'm entering a contest and you'll hurt my chances if you do it, too. But whatever. THIS IS AMERICA DO WHAT YOU WANT.
IN OTHER NEWS:
I am leaving Preskitt, AZ to head back to San Diego for a few days. The drive is only 6 hours and I'm excited to listen to music and be alone. I have had VERY LITTLE alone time here in Arizona. I've made tons of friends, which is good, but we live in close quarters, which gets old.
Anyone in SD want to drive back up with me? Maybe fly back home? I don't know. Crazy thought. I'm brainstorming.

Life in 5 short chapters
CHAPTER 1
I walk down the street.
There's a deep hole in the sidewalk.
And I fall in.
I am lost. I am helpless. It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
CHAPTER 2
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it. I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place.
But it isn't my fault.
It takes a long time to get out.
CHAPTER 3
I walk down the same street and there is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it there, and still I fall in.
It's a habit.
But my eyes are open and I know where I am.
It is my fault and I get out immediately.
CHAPTER 4
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.
CHAPTER 5
I walk down a different street.

CRAZY NEWS
I am seriously debating staying here in Prescott. For at least another 6 months.
I know, I know. The mind boggles with such counter intuitive news. Me, the girl who has been pissing and moaning about this place for weeks. I am seriously thinking about staying.
I'd write more, but the sassy librarian is kicking me out.
The end.
