So I got my car fixed- only about $150 so not bad, still rough for a college kid.
Of course, my digital camera broke today. And my Kindle is still dead.
Good news: my fish is still alive somehow. Betas are incredible. I can't tell you how much I love this fish, when I really think about it. When I lived in Sacramento I would talk to him more than I talked to normal people. Ryah and Taylen almost killed him multiple times, and he survived a drive from Sacramento to Utah.
I would say that he is just a fish, and if he died I wouldn't care. But this fish loves me. When i go out of town and make Kristina feed him, he doesn't eat. He will stay in the bottom of his bowl and be afraid. Part of this is because he is used to be talking and singing to music so much that he likes to come out and look at movement. Kristina would just throw the food in there and walk away, leaving him in a cold dark room and he wouldn't come out to see what was going on.
The other part of this...is because we are in love.
The-Venus-de-Milo-Inspires-Me (Jr.) goes by Milo for short, and he will never leave me. Because I keep him in a bowl.
For those of you needing the secret to a happy relationship, there it is. Keep him in a bowl.

i had a beta once. when i left for school my mom stole him as her own. she broke the bowl i kept him in while cleaning him and probably dropped him down the sink like 10 times... leaving my dad to rescue the poor little fishyy. i think i'm going to follow your advice and get myself another one. : ]
I talk to him! When you were gone I would sit there and try to talk to him to get him to come out and he would just stare at me from the back corner and refuse!
