Yep, you read that right.
Yesterday I got up and went to work, as usual. Worked the whole shift, as usual. Then, right when I gathered my things to clock out and go home, by boss called me into a meeting room.
I was let go.
Along with 20 other staff members.
Jobless in January in Prescott, Arizona, is not a great place to be. Needless to say, I had a tiny emotional breakdown. Then I got a speeding ticket.
Ten points for my boyfriend though. He came over with flowers and a really sweet card. That made me cry again. Happy/sad/exhausted tears.
I'm trying to not get too stressed about bills and rent and food and gas money. I've been jobless before. Amazingly, though, my incredible grasp on sarcasm does not affect my ability to kick some SERIOUS job interview butt.
Wish me luck.
