My Aunt Holly came to visit me this weekend. It was exciting and stressful getting my little house all ready, since she is really the first of my family to come and see where I live and work and the boy that I kiss.
I know I should have been expecting it, but I was completely taken off guard by how much like my mom she is. The slang, the hang gestures, the sass, oh my goodness. Needless to say I got pretty emotional a few times in there. I also had alot of laughter and storytelling and I can honestly say I am proud of my life right now. I wanted to show it off to someone who knows that even just a year ago I was a hot mess. I like myself, I'm ok, I'm going to make it.
In case having Holly here wasn't emotional enough, I also met my man's family. I was STRESSED OUT. ALOT. But of course, they are amazing. I was told "Oh, you are IN" about ten times, so I figure they like me too. Probably cuz of the freckles, cuz goodness knows by personality blows.
