holy snowing

Sweet nectar of life, it is snowing outside! Huge fluffy piles of the stuff are everywhere! Last time I was at BYU I left in the beginning of January, so the next few months are going to be the coldest I've experienced in my short life.

Speaking of short lives, I think I have Oscar Wilde Syndrome, which is a disease I just made up in which you feel sick for a week and then movie to Utah and then die. And you hate women and get banished from your home country for being homosexual. I'm still not feeling any better and the traveling/moving/frozen water from the sky isn't really helping the situation.

The good news is my mom went on a shopping rampage and got me some really awesome stuff, and some things I just don't understand.

Things My Mom Bought Me That Have No Practical Use:
-a giant twinkle star disco ball
-a lifetime supply of paperclips
-two squeezy tubes of Miracle Whip
-thermal underclothing (black. with a little bow on the shirt)
-cleaning supplies (ha! silly woman)
-twelve-piece cutlery set, which is only a little impractical since I have one plate and three cups.

Those all made for a good laugh. Especially the thermal underwear. Which I'm wearing right now. Good call, Mom.

For every strange thing she got, she got twelve extremely useful things, including but not limited to: eggshell mattress, waterbottles, groceries, school supplies, hangers (YES! p.s. LOGAN I CAN'T BELIEVE I LET YOU CONVINCE ME TO NOT PACK ALL MY HANGERS. I AM A FOOLISH WOMAN FOR HEEDING YOUR SHODDY ADVICE) and many many other things, which made kristina weak and stinky with jealousy. Thats right woman, weak and stinky.

currently listening to: M83- Saturdays= Youth
currently reading: Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison (For anyone who hasn't read this book, I highly recommend it- even though I just started it. His skill as an author is the reason I love reading. It's the kind of writing that makes you read the same sentence over and over; with only five words he creates a terrifying world in a lyrical, lilting, lovely way.)

this is a LOT of snow. last year brought a TON but i think this winter might win. i just hope it doesn't carry on the madness all the way through may again. that would be dreadful. ..i do enjoy it though for the time being.

Wow - Oscar Wilde syndrome does have eerily accurate symptoms. Well-diagnosed, Doctor.
