mondays, you suck.

So, I went back to work today. I really enjoy my job, but for the past couple weeks a few of the girls I work with have been making things really hard for me. It feels like I am back in high school sometimes; plus, it really doesn't help when they take my respectful decline of their invite to a bud-smokin' party as a snub.

I think I have been too nice and easygoing at that job, and I'm really going to have to use my authority. Thats why I have it. To be used.

Afterwards I went and picked up the girls with a nice little jamba juice treat. they were being freakin' rough today. Taylen is running around saying sassy things that she only could have picked up on if she is hanging out at a biker bar during the day. Ryah was SCREAMING and following me around when I was throwing dinner together.

I called Logan to bring me back to reality, but he didn't pick up so I left him a message that probably didn't make sense.

something about "putting the kibash down on these little girls"

Now Taylen is watching Ariel: The Beginning for the 6th time since I gave it to her (i gave it to her yesterday afternoon). I think its better than the original since no one is calling anyone else a "little tramp". Hopefully she loses some of the disney slang.

Its definitely worse in other aspects, however. Example: Ariels mom gets smooshed by a pirate ship in the beginning. Its all very slow-motion, dramatic, shaky animation. We watched it yesterday with like fifteen other little kids from the ward, and one of them kept going "Ariels mom dies here. This is where she dies. Get ready for her to die".

I would have set my uber-threatening kibash down then if I didn't recall certain films from my childhood that, in retrospect, are borderline satanic. (HELLOOO CAREBEARS. The little camper GETS POSSESSED. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP)

oh yeah, cherry to my crapmonday sundae, my ipod/radio/connector thing BROKE during my trip to san diego, and it would cost 80 bucks to replace. rough.

here is a picture to brighten this post right on up:
