san diego, ho!

I am back in my hometown of Escondido, CA, which is a suburb a bit north of San Diego. I walked into my old room, and couldn't breathe for a good thirty seconds. There was lots of pink hoo ha and mirrors and matchy matchy picture frames and a distinctly blonde, righteous smell.

Kristina had been there.

The only things in that room from the Brooke side of style were two glorious stylish gems:

-an old wooden desk set up with a mismatched vanity mirror behind it
-a cedar chair with a woven back that I found on the street in San Elijo

I forgot I attained those this year. Once I know I am going to live somewhere for more than six months I will totally drive that crap out.

What can I say. I like decorating like I live in a log cabin in the 70s.

OH SAN DIEGGOOOOOOO
-Jake picked me up from the airport. We are still hilarious.
-Saw Alanna, Yvonne, Jess, Ed (who has a ponytail now. congrats, ed), and many others.

Man. I missed it, but I am stoked I don't live here. If I did, I would so be addicted to meth right now. I don't know how I know that, I just do. Getting stuck in your old group of high school friends is never a good idea, especially when you all have a secret longing to quit your jobs and live on the beach, only to play a huge drum by a bonfire every night and nothing else.

If that sounds like a good way to spend a weekend, head on down to Black's Beach on the full moon (warning: nude beach)

If that sounds like a good way to spend your life, head on down to Black's Beach on a full moon AND NEVER LEAVE.

That is an actual option.

Not so much a sad realization as an inevitable one. Bigger and better things are all I have to look forward to.
