Nikki and Calee both went to Japan. My mom just went to China. My dad went to Italy on his mission. Kristina and Calee went to England. Nikki went to Cancun or Cabo or somewhere like that on her honeymoon. Kristina and mom went to New York. Calee went to Mexico with my cousins. Nikki did cheer competitions all over the place. My boyfriend is about to go to Mexico (again) for another two weeks, not to mention the fact that he has been all over Europe (twice. and once by himself.)
I get really upset when I think about how I have never been anywhere. Part of it is being poor, part of it is bad timing. If I had never had this whole license fiasco, then I would have had ID so I could get my passport, which means I could have gone to England with Kristina and Calee AND I would've gone to Mexico with my boyfriend's family last time.
I want to experience culture shock! I want to see things I've only seen in pictures! I want to go somewhere strange, like Fez, and just hang out for a few months. "Hey brooke where have you been?" "oh just making pots in Fez." I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SAY THAT.
I really want to GO somewhere for my birthday this year. Anywhere. New York, Chicago, Miami. I almost don't care. The only places I've been are Idaho, Nevada, Utah, CA, and crappy northern Mexico.
I NEED TO STOP FEELING BAD FOR MYSELF AND JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN ALREADY.

you know, you can still get a federal state ID without having a license :)
true. but you have to have your birth certificate, social, and two proofs of address. And since I moved a million times and only recently got my birth certificate, it's been a bit more of a battle then you'd imagine.
ugh that sounds horribly inconvenient. hope you get it all figured out soon!
