Really good book, and seems to have gone MYSTERIOUSLY MISSING when CALEE left town....
I said you should read it, meaning go buy your own copy, not you should read it so here take it to California! I'm never going to see it again!
You owe me a new copy for my birthday.
p.s. you and andrew have the same birthday. I think.
I don't know.
I'm an awful sister/girlfriend.
Mancandy is FINALLY coming back to town tonight. Last week I worked almost 50 hours because I was keeping myself so busy. I picked up extra shifts and stayed late and tried to make myself exhausted so that I would spend as little time moping as possible. I think it worked, and now my paycheck is gonna be sweet.
The only downside is- I thought the whole license thing would be taken care of for sure this week because a payment confirmation fax was sent; however, it turns out they don't give a CRAP about faxes or who you spoke to or what you did. If the average wait time is 6-8 weeks, they'll make you wait 6-8 weeks. And if you call four times in one day to try to find out what is going on, they'll "accidentally" disconnect you two or three times or however long until you give up and stop calling.
Not kidding.
The California court/tax board officials have won. They made me cry with their awful telephone manners and red tape and hoops. The hoops! THE HOOPS. I've given up. I have to wait, just like everyone else. Once the payment gets processed, it will be sent to the courts (who will take weeks to process it) then sent to the DMV (who will take weeks to process it) then I get to go in and take a written test for my Utah driver's license.
I'm exhausted and sad and frustrated and annoyed and becoming seriously unhinged due to all of this.
